A cruising couple here at the marina bought my sit-on-top kayak.  It won't fit inside the boat and it is a liability having it on the deck for a long passage, so I decided to unload it.  They plan to pick it up tomorrow after their boat goes back in the water ("splashes" as we call it).  I cleaned it up a bit for them.  It is looking pretty good now.  My secret for this is teak oil.

Apparently there is a motorcycle rally of sorts here in Mazatlan this week.  They started  setting up a bandstand and preparing a large dirt field next to the Marina for the event.  Sort of a Sturgis South I guess.  In any event, it looks like we are in for some more late-night entertainment for a few days.  I believe it starts on Thursday this week and runs through the weekend.  More on this later...

My new laptop is working well.  I can't say the same for Window 11 though.  It seems they are making it more and more difficult to set things up the way you want.  My biggest frustration has been their OneDrive application.  I thought I had that turned off during the setup, but it appears to have been running.  I woke up today and found all my phone data had been consumed - by OneDrive copying all of my files to the Microsoft cloud!  Not what I wanted.  I then disabled the service only to find that none of my files could be accessed!  Aaarrrgggg!  Looks like I will need to spend some time sorting this out.

I did some deck cleanup in prep for the haulout tomorrow.  I rinsed it off (dusty down here), put things away and got the tarp ready to take down.  I keep a tarp pitched over the boom.  It keeps the sun off the deck and the morning dew off things.  I set up longer lines on the boat so we can throw them to the people on the pier as we back in.  I have two of my neighbors lined up to assist tomorrow.  Always tricky since they have you back into the lift area and my boat does not like going backwards!

I helped one of my neighbors this evening with  her computer.  She  wanted help making a new boat (business) card and wanted to learn how to do it herself.  I made a draft then met with her after the "safety meeting".  I use OpenOffice for most of my computer work, I find it easier to use than MS Office, plus it is free and open source.  I showed her what I put together and helped her learn how to use OpenOffice.  We also did some spreadsheet work.  It was a good start.
